My Photomontage Portfolio

Photomontage is the process of cutting out photographs and sticking them back together to create new images. This can either be done using scissors and glue or on the computer using image editing software such as Photoshop. All of my photomontages are done on the computer using Photoshop.

Jackie In Space

These are a sample of images from a children’s story called Jackie in Space that I have written and illustrated.

One night Jackie is taken to a space ship by an alien who doesn’t speak, but changes colour with its moods. Jackie must figure out how to get home again and comes up with a brilliant plan.

I used photomontage to illustrate this story because it makes the images and characters seem more real and alive.

Keita's Moon

These are a sample of images from a children’s story called Keita’s moon that I have written and illustrated.

One night the moon brakes and two pieces fall to earth. Keita must find the pieces and fix the moon before the night is out. There’s only one problem, a Troll has stolen one of the pieces.

I used photomontage to illustrate this story because it’s a fairy tale and needed to feel very real to be believed.
