ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born and live in Sheffield, England.
At school I obtained a G.C.S.E in Art amongst others and have since gained other qualifications in Art at the Sheffield College. I am currently half way through the HND course for Art with Illustration, and my style of work leans more to the illustration side of things.
I have just completed an Illustration commission for South Yorkshire Police, which will be used in primary schools around Sheffield.
Most of my inspiration comes from times and places in history and every day experiences. My paintings are based in realism and I love to use colour and texture, which include acrylic paint, fabric, craft paper, metallic leafs, tiny glass beads and whatever else inspires me.
I want my viewers to become interested and involved with the story or meaning of a piece. Each person will have a different understanding and feel something different about each piece.
